Christmas 2019

December 2, 2018

 Dear Friends,

T’was the month before Christmas and all through the church…everyone was getting ready to celebrate Christ’s birth!

There are a number of ways to mark the season of Advent in our parish this year. Whether you participate in our Advent program on Wednesday evenings and Thursday mornings; bring a donation for Share-A-Gift Sunday, join in a Messy Church celebration; help with or attend a Christmas bazaar, concert or carol sing; ride a float in a parade; build gingerbread churches together or help make Christingles for Christmas Eve … we hope that Church will play a meaningful role in your Christmas planning and preparations.

We hope too that you are able to enjoy some quiet, peaceful moments amid all of the excitement and ‘busy-ness’ of this holiday season.  The profound meaning of Christmas is often found best in a few moments of silence, when the heart swells and the mind delights in the mystery of God made human in Jesus. This divine act of love, this self-gift of God, bestows upon us human beings a dignity, joy, and freedom that never diminishes.

We welcome you to join us for Christmas celebrations. Invite a friend or neighbor too!

The vitality of the Parish of South Carleton bursts forth from the generosity and good will of so many committed members. Your support is very important to the life of our parish. Your financial contributions help to maintain the buildings and enable our parish to serve the community around us in the way God has called us to.
